New Downsizing Trailer – Matt Damon & Kristen Wiig get small in Alexander Payne’s latest

5th November 2017 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Sideways and About Schmidt director Alexander Payne has wanted to make Downsizing for a long time. It’s only now he’s managed to, with those who’ve seen it suggesting that this is Payne on a larger scale than we’ve seen before, but still with his idiosyncratic take on things.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Downsizing imagines what might happen if, as a solution to over-population, Norwegian scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall and propose a 200-year global transition from big to small. People soon realize how much further money goes in a miniaturized world, and with the promise of a better life, everyman Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in Omaha in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.’

The movie, which stars Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz and Jason Sudeikis, is out in the US in December, and arrive in the UK on January 19th. Take a look at the trailer below. [Read more…]

Colossal Trailer – Anne Hathaway discovers she’s mentally linked to a monster attack

18th February 2017 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

When Colossal debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, it got a bit of a mixed reaction, partially because it seemed some critics didn’t quite know what to make of it. Now a trailer has arrived, which suggests that perhaps they can’t be blamed for being a little perplexed, as it looks like a strange one.

Anne Hathaway plays Gloria, an ordinary woman who, after losing her job and her fiancé (Dan Stevens), decides to leave her life in New York to move back to her hometown. But when news reports surface that a giant lizard is destroying Seoul, Gloria comes to realise that she is connected to these far-off events via the power of her mind. In order to prevent further destruction, Gloria needs to determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

And as this trailer shows, that’s when it gets really bizarre.

Jason Sudeikis also stars, with Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes) directing. Take a look below. [Read more…]

New Masterminds Trailer – Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson & Jason Sudeikis go on a heist

31st July 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

masterminds-slideThings recently got a bit messy for Masterminds. The film should have come out last year, but when its production company/studio Relativity went into bankruptcy it got delayed. Then, when Relativity came out of bankruptcy, Netflix decided that due to their deal with the studio, they were going to start streaming the movie before it went to cinemas. That led to a court case where it looked like things were gonna get messy. However, that’s now been sorted out and a new trailer has arrived.

Here’s the synopsis for the inspired by a true story movie: ‘Zach Galifianakis (THE HANGOVER) leads a sterling comedy cast along with Kristen Wiig (BRIDESMAIDS), Owen Wilson (ZOOLANDER) and Jason Sudeikis (HORRIBLE BOSSES) in this hilarious true story in which a half-brained night guard at an armoured car company manages to pull off one of the biggest bank heists in US history.’

The movie is out in the US on September 20th. Take a look at the new trailer below. [Read more…]

New Mother’s Day Trailer – Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson team for a tale of moms

30th March 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Mothers-Day-slideBrits may be a bit confused about why a film called Mother’s Day is reaching cinemas over here until June, but it’s because Americans have a different Mother’s Day to us, so they’re getting the film in April, and we might as well wait until June. The movie itself is another Garry Marshall ensemble tale (after Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve).

This one stars the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, Britt Robertson, Sarah Chalke, Shay Mitchell, Jon Lovitz, Aasif Mandvi, Timothy Olyphant and Margo Martindale. A new trailer has dropped, which you can take a look at below.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘“Mother’s Day” is the latest star studded ensemble comedy from director Garry Marshall (“Pretty Woman,” “Valentine’s Day”). Bringing together Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Julia Roberts along with Jason Sudeikis, it’s a celebration of mothers everywhere. This big-hearted comedy invites us all to enjoy the laughter, tears and love as three generations come together in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.’ [Read more…]
