With all his bizarre (and sometimes rather student-y) performance art pieces and idiosyncratic behaviour, it’s easy to forget that when he fancies it, Shia LeBeouf is still an actor. However, you probably won’t be too surprised to hear that his next movie isn’t a Transformers style blockbuster, but an indie movie.

However it’s one that’s been very well received, getting some excellent reviews following its Cannes debut. Now we can get a taste for ourselves with a trailer.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Star (Sasha Lane), an adolescent girl from a troubled home, runs away with a traveling sales crew who drive across the American Midwest selling subscriptions door to door. Finding her feet in this gang of teenagers, one of whom is Jake (Shia LaBeouf), she soon gets into the group’s lifestyle of hard-partying nights, law-bending days, and young love.’ It’ll be in US cinemas next month.
