New xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage Trailer – Vin Diesel is back as the extreme sports super-spy

2nd November 2016 By Tim Isaac

xxx_digi_xander_rgb_ov-slideVin Diesel is making a bit of a habit of leaving franchises before returning later. He did it with Fast & Furious, and after playing Xander Cage in 2002’s xXx, he bowed out for the sequel, which starred Ice Cube.

Now, 15 years after the first film, he’s returning to the series for xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, which also sees Samuel L. Jackson back as Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons. In the movie, Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons. Not a vast amount of official info about the plot has been released, other than that, ‘Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons.’

It’s also keen to promise Girls, Guns, and Global Domination, with the rest of the trailer largely devoted to some incredibly OTT action, including some jungle skiing and extreme sports nuttiness. The film should be out early next year. Take a look at the trailer below. [Read more…]
