New It Trailer – Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise the clown is out to terrify the kids

27th July 2017 By Tim Isaac

When it was announced that  26-year-old Bill Skargard was going to play Pennywise the Clown in a new movie version of Stephen King’s It, many thought he was too young for the role. However, those who’ve seen some of the footage have suggested he’s pretty terrifying. Now we get a new taste of Andrés Muschietti’s with the first full trailer for the film.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT”, directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades.

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

“IT” stars Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant,” TV’s “Hemlock Grove”) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (“Midnight Special”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”), Sophia Lillis (“37”), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things”), Wyatt Oleff (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming “Cops and Robbers”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Tales of Halloween”) and Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”).’

The film will be in UK cinemas on September 8th. [Read more…]

It Trailer – The Clown monster is back devouring kids, in the form of Bill Skarsgard

29th March 2017 By Tim Isaac

After a poster and a tease yesterday, Warner has released a full trailer for their new take on Stephen King’s classic It. While many thought 26-year-old Bill Skargard was too young to play the story’s creepy clown, he certainly seems to have the right menacing look and feel in this slightly unnerving trailer.

Stephen King’s It Gets A Poster & A Trailer Tease

28th March 2017 By Tim Isaac

Hollywood is hoping there’s going to be a bit of a Stephen King movie renaissance, with the likes of The Dark Tower, Gerald’s Game and a big screen version of It.  We’ve been promised a trailer for the last of those tomorrow, but ahead of that comes a poster and a tease for the upcoming promo.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT,” directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. It will be released on September 8th, 2017. If successful, expect the second half of King’s novel – where the kids are grown up and return to confront their fears – to be adapted too. Take a look at the poster and trailer tease below. [Read more…]

Get A Full Body Look At Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise In The New Stephen King’s It Movie

17th August 2016 By Tim Isaac

pennywise-it-bill-skarsgard-slideA few weeks ago – and very shortly after it started shooting – we got our first look at Bill Skargard as the evil Pennywise the Clown in the new two-part film adaptation of Stephen King’s It. That’s now been follow by another image that shows us character’s entire body rather than just his face.

While Tim Curry’s take on Pennywise in the 1990 TV mini-series version was based on a circus clown, the new take takes from of its inspiration from the classic Commedia dell’Arte and other historical clowns. It certainly looks pretty creepy. The story will be told across two movies, with the first dealing with a group of children’s interaction with a sewer-dwelling, shape-shifting monster that takes the form of an evil clown, and the second with what happens once they’ve grown up and return to take on the menace again.

It’s currently shooting, with Andrés Muschietti directing. The first part is due for release September 2017. [Read more…]
