You wouldn’t think getting back your lost kitten would be that difficult, but it gets extrememly complicated for Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key, as you can see in the red-band trailer for their new movie, Keanu, below.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, a.k.a. the hugely popular U.S. comedy duo Key & Peele, star as Clarence and Rell, two cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu, is catnapped, the hopelessly straight-laced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.’

Although the trailer makes it look like it’ll be a typical, if potentially pretty funny comedy, there’ll be plenty hoping that it can also offer the same sort of pithy insight as their TV show, the eponymous Key & Peele, often managed. It’ll be in cinemas later this year. [Read more…]
