Synopsis: ‘Over the holidays, Ned (Bryan Cranston), an overprotective but loving dad and his family visit his daughter at Stanford, where he meets his biggest nightmare: her well-meaning but socially awkward Silicon Valley billionaire boyfriend, Laird (James Franco). The straight-laced Ned thinks Laird, who has absolutely no filter, is a wildly inappropriate match for his daughter. The one-sided rivalry – and Ned’s panic level – escalate when he finds himself increasingly out of step in the glamorous high-tech hub, and learns that Laird is about to pop the question.’
The great cast also includes Megan Mullally, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Casey Wilson, and Adam DeVine. The movie is due out at Christmas.

While James Franco hasn’t had any big successes as a director, you certainly can’t blame him for aiming high. He’s previously adapted the likes of William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy for the big screen, and now he’s taking on John Steinbeck with In Dubious Battle.
Early, work-in-progress screening of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s R-rated CGI animated movie, Sausage Party, got pretty good buzz, with many suggesting it’s a smart and funny movie, which takes a sideways look at belief and religion. Now, to tie in with it Comic-Con panel, a new Red Band trailer has dropped.

Sausage Party has been described as Toy Story for grown-up – a CGI animated comedy about food that comes to life when no one is looking. However while toys have to worry about their owner leaving them behind as they grow up, food has to worry about being eaten.
