50-50 Trailer – Joseph Gordon-Levitt deals with cancer, alongside Seth Rogen

30th May 2011 By Tim Isaac

50/50 (previously known as I’m With Cancer) has had great reactions in preview screenings, and not the trailer and first images from the movie have arrived. While it doesn’t sound like the cheeriest of stories, it’s said to mix comedy with laugh out loud comedy to great effect. Inspired by Borat producer Will Reiser’s personal experiences, 50/50 is an original story about friendship, love, survival and finding humor in unlikely places. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen star as best friends whose lives are changed by a cancer diagnosis. 50/50 draws its emotional core from Will Reiser’s own experience with cancer and reminds us that friendship and love, no matter what bizarre turns they take, are the greatest healers. Take a look below for the trailer, while the first images are above and below.

Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark Trailer – Take a look at the Guillermo Del Toro produced horror

30th May 2011 By Tim Isaac

Tom Cruise has permitted Katie Holmes to leave the house, in this case to star in a new Guillermo Del Toro produced horror movie – Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark. However the title don’t seem accurate, as in this film, the dark seems like something you definitely should be afraid of. In the film Sally (Bailee Madison) is a lonely, introverted child who has just arrived at the 19th century mansion her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) are restoring. While exploring the sprawling estate, Sally discovers a hidden, long-undisturbed basement. Unwittingly, she unleashes a race of malevolent, dark-dwelling creatures who intend to drag her and her family down into the mansion’s bottomless depths. The film should reach UK cinemas on August 12th.

The Muppets Meets The Hangover – Second teaser trailer introduces us to the Fuzzy Pack

27th May 2011 By Tim Isaac

The Muppets is a surprisingly difficult movie to market, as Disney needs to make its appeals to kids and families, while ensuring it looks like it has enough adult appeal for those grown-ups wishing to revisit the characters from their youth. And if they keep going like this, they’re going to manage that feat superbly. The first teaser, released earlier this week, was a lot of fun, presenting it as a sickly rom-com until suddent Muppets turn up! This one is even better, parodying the teaser trailer for The Hangover Part II, but with a Fuzzy Pack instead of a Wolf Pack. Take a look below, and we’ve also included The Hangover promo for comparison. Let’s hope there are more Muppet versions of big movie trailer as the summer goes on. The film, starring Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Kermit and co, is released later this year.
