The Amazing Spider-man Teaser Trailer – First look at the reboot of the web-slinger

21st July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Most won’t expecting this to arrive until footage from the movie has debuted at Comic-Con, but perhaps because of illegal versions popping up on the net, Sony Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-man. It seems keen to show what’s different between this and Sam Raimi’s version, from showing us the movie will introduce us to Peter Parker’s parents to a new origin story to new look web-slinging (with a nice long first-person sequence at the end of the trailer). It’s pretty cool, although the jury is still out on just how exicting this will be when it arrives in cinemas on July 4th, 2012.

The Hobbit Video Blog – Meet the Hobbits in costume and more!

21st July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Peter Jackson has released a brand new Hobbit video blog, and like the two previous ones, it far more interesting that this sort of thing often is. This one takes us round some of the sets, as well as showing all the Hobbits themselves in costume. At 13 and a half minutes, there plenty of stuff to ingest, so click below and get your fill. It’s just annoying we have to wait until December 2012 to see the first of these two much anticipated movies!

New Crazy, Stupid, Love Trailer – Ryan Gosling helps Steve Carrell with the dating world

20th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Ryan Gosling has generally steered away from mainstream projects that trade on his looks, but it look like he’s making an exception for Crazy, Stupid, Love, although this trailer does make the film seem like it’s got a more indie sensibility than it’s actually going to have. It’s also interest that this promo suggests they’re repositioning it from being a Steve Carrell movie to a Ryan Gosling one, despite the fact he’s ostensibly the sidekick. The film follow Carell as middle-aged Cal, whose relationship with his wife (Julianne Moore) hits the skids when she cheats on him. Suddenly he’s thrust into the world of dating – something he has little experience with as his wife was also his high school sweetheart – with only his womanising friend Jacob (Goslling) to help him. Jacob sets about giving Cal a makeover and opening his eyes to the world of women and style, even if Cal’s heart seems to be leading him back to where he began. Crazy Stupid Love should be in cinemas on September 23rd.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Trailer – The bat is back, as an official version is released!

19th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

For the last few days, dodgy bootlegs of this trailer have been popping up on the web, only to be pulled down shortly afterwards by Warner Bros. However now a proper, hi-res version has been released for those who didn’t seen it at the cinema recently. It suggests that once more something is up in Gotham City, and the only one who can help is Batman. Unfortunately it seems the Caped Crusader has gone away and his alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, isn’t that keen on letting him come back. There’s not much more plot that that, other than a few shots of Tom Hardy looking rather terrifying as Bane. Click below to take a look. The film arrives in UK cinemas on July 20th, 2012.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Clips – Four minutes of Caesar to tease us. Just don’t piss him off!

19th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

It’s only a few weeks until Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes hits cinemas on August 11th, and now two clips have arrived from the movie, one an extended, three-minute look at one of the pivotal moments, and the other a smaller but rather charming moment. Sadly the quality of the clips isn’t amazing, so we can’t get a better look at the CG ape effects, but they’d well worth watching anyway. The longer one in particularly shows us a crucial moment in the movie. While working on a cure for dementia (which his father, played by John Lithgow, suffers from), James Franco’s scientist, Will Rodman, engages in genetic experiments that result in apes that are far more intelligent than usual. At first he raises chimp Caesar as one of the family, but as the extended clip below shows, that causes problems, and soon events race forward towards a war between man and super-smart ape! Click below to take a look.

The Avengers Teaser Leaked – First look at the superhero team-up gets bootlegged

18th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

First up, a warning – this bootlegged version of the teaser for The Avengers is of atrocious quality, but nevertheless it’s our first look at the superhero team-up and still pretty exciting. The teaser is actually a post-credits sequence that will feature on Captain America: The First Avenger, which starts off with Sam Jackson trying to recruit a now modern day Steve Rogers, before giving us fast-cut looks at the likes of Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Bruce Banner (but not Hulk, as they haven’t done the CG yet), as they team up to save the world. It due in cinemas May 4th, 2012, but click below for the teaser (and if it gets pulled due to copyright issues, we’re sorry).
