Bel Ami Trailer – Robert Pattinson turns semi-gigolo in fin de siecle Paris

25th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Robert Pattinson is certainly trying to show there’s more to him than lovestruck vampires throught the likes of Water For Elephants, Remember Me and Cosmopolis. And later this year he’ll be starring in Bel Ami, an adaptation of Guy De Maupassant’s novel. The film tells the story of George Duroy’s (Pattinson) calculated rise to the top of Parisian high society in the 1890s, via the beds of the city’s most glamorous and influential women. Uma Thurman will play the wife of Duroy’s friend, who helps George’s rise to the top, thanks to her society connections. Also in the film will be Kristin Scott Thoman, as a socialist who falls for Duroy’s charms, but gets too clingy in the process. Declan Donellan directs, and you can click below for the first trailer. You have to wonder though, does Pattinson know the name Bel Ami and his character in the movie, George Duroy, have been coopted in recent years by one of the world’s most successful gay porn companies? (Thanks to HeyUGuys for the heads up).

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes – Action Trailer & Clips – Gorilla versus horse and helicopter! Who will win?

25th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

It’s not long until Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes arrives in cinemas on August 5th, and 20th Century Fox used Comic-Con to try and shift the marketing focus onto the action and effects elements of the tale. Now a new action trailer and numerous clips have shown up online for the movie, concentrating on the apes getting super-smart and then launching as all-out attack on San Francisco, led by chimp Caesar. It’s the beginning of a race for world domination, which as previous Planet of The Apes movies have shown, doesn’t turn out too well for us. So if you’ve ever wondered who would win in a fight between a horse and gorilla (and let’s face it, who hasn’t?), click below for a selection of new trailers and clips that suggest this film could be a lot more exciting that it might previously have appeared.

The trailer for Knight Of Badassdom debuted at Comic-con and now it’s online for us all to enjoy. However their antics summon up a demon from hell by mistake, which they much then deal with. It stars Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage, Ryan Kwanten and Summer Glau. Paranormal Activity 3 Trailer – The creepy found-footage franchise goes 1980s

22nd July 2011 By Tim Isaac

While the annual return of the Saw franchise has been put on hold for a while (but I’d imagine it’ll return at some point), instead each October we’re getting a new Paranormal Activity movie. Now the first trailer for Paranormal Activity 3 has arrived, which takes the franchise back to the 1980s and two girls being freaked by a presence in their house. It looks like there’ll be some modern footage to, with the girl(s) now grown up and probably being scared senseless again. Catfish’s Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are directing this one, which will be in cinemas on October 21st.
