A Good Old Fashioned Orgy Trailer – Jason Sudeikis just wants a bit of polyamorous fun

26th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Jason Sudeikis is having a good year, with Hall Pas and Horrible Bosses (as well as his work on SNL and The Cleveland Show), and he’s still got A Good Old Fashioned Orgy to come. Sudeikis is Eric, a thirtysomething party animal, famous among his close circle of friends for his lavish summer theme parties at his father’s swanky Hamptons pad. But when members of the crew start settling down – and Eric’s dad announces plans to sell the beach house – Eric decides it’s time for one last bash to go out with a proverbial bang – a good old-fashioned orgy. The only obstacles to overcome are actually convincing each of his reluctant friends to join in on the bacchanal, and an inconveniently blossoming romance with the real estate agent who’s threatening to sell the house out from under him before the main event can even take place. It could be amusing although this first trailer doesn’t really sell it as a potential laugh-riot. However, considering the subject matter, perhasp we need to wait for a Red Band trailer for that.

Intruders UK Trailer – Clive Owen has haunted bedroom troubles in this new creep-fest

26th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Intruders will be a very creepy flick if this trailer is anything to go by. It’s the first film Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has directed since 28 Weeks Later, and is split between tales in Spain and London, both of which involve a gruesome faceless creature that enters children’s bedroom, and somehow seems as if it’s moved from the realm of imagination into reality. Clive Owen is the father of the girl under attack in the London part of the tale. This new trailer is enough to put the creeps up you without needing to see the rest of the movie! Click below to take a look at the promo, and we’ve also included the first three pics from the movie above and below. Intruders will open the 59th San Sebastian Film Festival on Sept. 16 and is currently set for UK release on October 7th.

Margin Call Trailer – Spacey, Bettany, Quinto and Irons deal with the drama of financial meltdown

26th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

Investment banking isn’t usually a subject that you’d think would make for an exciting movie, but following the financial collapse there was a lot of interest in the script for Margin Call, which managed to scare up a superb cast including Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto (who also produces), Penn Badgeley, Simon Baker, Mar McDonell, Demi Moore and Stanley Tucci. Now the first proper trailer has arrived, which you can see below. The film is set over a 24-hour period and follows eight people at a prominent investment bank as they deal with the storm that accompanied the early stages of the financial crisis. Tucci’s financial whizz realises something is seriously amiss, but he’d prevented from telling anyone about the wrongdoing at the company, and then the shit really hits the fan as morals are tested and the world teeters on the brink of financial meltdown. In does look like it could be a lot more fascinating than you’d ever expect banking to be! There’s no UK release set at the moment, but it’ll reach the US in October.

Haywire Trailer – First look at Steven Soderbergh’s all-action flick

25th July 2011 By Tim Isaac

A lot of eyebrows were raised when Steven Soderbergh cast little known MMA fighter Gina Carano in the lead role in his action flick Haywire, as she’d barely acted before. He then filled the rest of the movie with bigger names like Michael Douglas, Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton, which put a hell of a lot of weight on Carano’s shoulders to pull it off. Now the first trailer for the movie has arrived, with Carano as Beautiful freelance covert operative Mallory Kane, who is hired out by her handler to various global entities to perform jobs which governments can’t authorize and heads of state would rather not know about. After a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona, Mallory is quickly dispatched on another mission to Dublin. When the operation goes awry and Mallory finds she has been double crossed, she needs to use all of her skills, tricks and abilities to escape an international manhunt, make it back to the United States, protect her family, and exact revenge on those that have betrayed her. It’s currently due in cinemas January 20th, 2012.
