It’s a bit difficult to judge what tone Contraband is going for from this trailer, as it seems to suggest it’s both a dark, gritty thriller and a nice jolly heist-type film. Either way, Giovanni Ribisi appears to be chewing scenery spectacularly. Mark Wahlberg plays Chris Farraday, who long ago abandoned his life of crime, but after his brother-in-law, Andy (Caleb Landry Jones), botches a drug deal for his ruthless boss, Tim Briggs (Giovanni Ribisi), Chris is forced back into doing what he does best – running contraband – to settle Andy’s debt. Chris is a legendary smuggler and quickly assembles a crew with the help of his best friend, Sebastian (Ben Foster), to head to Panama and return with millions in counterfeit bills. Things quickly fall apart and with only hours to reach the cash, Chris must use his rusty skills to successfully navigate a treacherous criminal network of brutal drug lords, cops and hit men before his wife, Kate (Kate Beckinsale), and sons become their target. The film’s due out March 16th, 2012.

New Paranormal Activity 3 Trailer – Going back to when the creepiness began for Katie
It would appear that no moment of Paranormal Activity’s Katie went undocumented, as Paranormal Activity 3 takes us back to her childhood and shows that things were screwed up for her long before the first film, with a poltergeist causing hell for her and her family when she was kid. Now a new trailer has arrived, which to be honest does make it seem the franchise may be teetering on the edge of ridiculousness, but it’ll probably make shed loads of cash anyway. Catfish’s Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are directing this one, and it’ll be in cinemas on October 21st.

Now there’s a documentary all about Clash, tracing his journey from being a slightly Jim Henson obsessed teen making his own puppets, to his life now travelling the world with his little red chum. The film won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance and has been lauded at various other festival screenings. Hopefully we’ll all get to see it soon, but click below for the trailer.
John Dies At The End Trailer – Paul Giamatti stars in the new movie from the director of Bubba Ho-Tep
During the years Don Coscarelli was trying to put together a sequel to Bubba Ho-Tep, Paul Giamatti was said to all ready to star in it. However when that didn’t pan out, Giamatti signed on for Coscarelli’s John Dies At The End instead, which as this trailer shows, is going to be a rather strange sci-fi trip. Here’s the slighly odd synopsis, but click below to get a real feel for the flick: ‘It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.’ The movie should be out sometime next year.
