It’s tough to tell whether Kill Keith will be good fun or if it’s just a not particularly great joke played out way too long. Whatever it turns out to be, this new full trailer for the movie certainly has a morbid fascination it’s difficult to escape from, even if you might have to scrub your eyes after watching it. The film a shortlist for a breakfast TV presenter job becoming a dead list when ‘The Breakfast Cereal Killer’ strikes. Keith Chegwin, Tony Blackburn, Joe Pasquale and Russell Grant are up for the dream job but who will live long enough to accept it? Your brain probably just melted reading that brief synopsis, but if you really want to feel confused and just a tad frightened, click below to watch the trailer. The movie’s out November 11th.
Hugo Featurette – Take an inside look at Scorsese’s 3D family flick
When a work-in-progress print of Hugo screened at the New York Film Festival recently, plenty of superlatives were thrown around. Many in attendance suggested this was the best live-action 3D movie yet, with director Martin Scorsese actually using the extra dimension to tell the story, rather than just having it there as a gimmick. We’ll have to wait until December 2nd to find out if that’s true, but a featurette has popped up online in which Scorsese takes us into Hugo’s Parisian world, with plenty of footage that makes it look like this is going to be a very beautiful movie. Marvel One-Shot – A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer – Agent Coulson takes centre stage in this Avengers prequel short
The second in a series of shorts that Marvel has promised – which will supposedly link the likes of Captain America and Thor to The Avengers – has arrived with A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer. The first short was just guys chatting in a diner, mixed in with end credits bits from some of the Marvel superhero movie. This one however is all new footage, although quite how it links to The Avengers is anyone’s guess, other than suggesting the ubiquitous Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is a little more baddass than he’s looked before. Shame Trailer – First look at the Michael Fassbender sex-addiction tale
There have been some great reports coming out of film festivals about Shame, which reunites Michael Fassbender with Hunger director Steve McQueen. Fassbender plays Brandon, a New Yorker, whose carefully cultivated private life – which allows him to indulge his sexual addiction – is disrupted when his sister Cissy (Carey Mulligan) arrives unannounced for an indefinite stay. Its due out January 13th in the UK, but click below to take a look at the trailer.
New Woman In Black Trailer – More plot for the Daniel Radcliffe ghost story
The first trailer for The Woman In Black was big on creepiness and trying to assure us that Harry Potter (sorry, Daniel Radcliffe) is now all grown up and allowed to take on proper adult role. However it was rather lacking in plot. This new trailer makes up for that a little, filling us in more on the story of young lawyer Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), who is travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House. Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town’s tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror. Its due out February 10th, 2012.
This Means War Trailer – Tom Hardy & Chris Pine turn spy and fight for Reese Witherspoon
This Means War has been around for years, with numerous actors attached. However it didn’t come together until McG signed on to direct and hired Chris Pine and Tom Hardy to star. However, whether they should have bothered is still tough to tell. Hardy and Pine play spies who both fall for Reese Witherspoon and end up fighting for her affections in a rather explosive fashion. Each tries to sabotage the other’s chances, hopefully to comedic effect. To be honest, despite the talent line-up, the jury’s still out on whether the premise is just too cringe-inducing to produce a workable film, but it’s due in cinemas next February, and you can get your first taste by clicking below.
