New Trailer For The Vow – Rachel McAdams & Channing Tatum have memory troubles

21st November 2011 By Tim Isaac

The Vow wants to be the Valentine’s romance of 2012, with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams as a newlywed couple who get into a car accident, which ends up with the wife in coma. When she wakes up, she has amnesia that stretches back several years, so while she remembers her family, she has no memory of the man who recently became her huband – so he sets out to woo her once again. Although it sounds rather contrived, it’s actually based on the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, whose car was hit from behind by a fast moving truck in 1993. Take a look at the new trailer and decide for yourself whether this will be romantic or just incredibly cloying.

Fresh Trailer For The Grey – Liam Neeson vs. wolves vs. a slightly pretentious trailer

21st November 2011 By Tim Isaac

It’ll be interesting to see what sort of film The Grey is, as from this trailer it looks part action film, part introspective drama and part rather pretrntious art movie. I just pray that whatever it is, the score isn’t as overbearing as it is in this trailer. The movie sees Liam Neeson as part of an Alaska oil drilling team who struggle to survive after a plane crash strands them in the wild. Hunting the humans are a pack of wolves who see them as intruders. No UK release date is currently set.

Rampart Trailer – Is Woody Harrelson really the most corrupt cop ever seen on screen?

21st November 2011 By Tim Isaac

‘Woody Harrelson is the most corrupt cop ever seen on screen’ is a pretty bold claim for a trailer for open with, especially as Rampart is meant to be based on a true story. In the film it’s late-1990s LA and Officer Dave Brown (Harrelson) is a Vietnam vet, Rampart Precinct cop, dedicated to doing “the people’s dirty work” and asserting his own code of justice, often blurring the lines between right and wrong to maintain his action-hero state of mind. When he gets caught on tape beating a suspect, he finds himself in a personal and emotional downward spiral as the consequences of his past sins and his refusal to change his ways in light of a department-wide corruption scandal seal his fate. The movie has a superb cast and looks like it could be pretty good. It’ll be out early next year, when it’ll be having a bit of an awards run.

Gone Trailer – Amanda Seyfried is having major kidnapping issues

18th November 2011 By Tim Isaac

If you ask me, it looks like a rather OTT episode of Criminal Minds, but Amanda Seyfried is having a lot of trouble with a serial killer in Gone. She plays Jill Parrish (Seyfried), who returns home from the night shift to find her sister’s bed empty, and is convinced that the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. However the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all. The film is due out early next year.

Don’t Go in the Woods Trailer – Vincent D’Onofrio turns director with a horror tale

18th November 2011 By Tim Isaac

Actor Vincent D’Onofrio makes his debut as a director with this genre horror tale of kids out in the woods. The explores love, greed and ruthlessness in a twisted musical/horror hybrid, telling the story of a young band who heads to the woods to get away from their everyday lives in order to focus on writing new songs. Hoping to walk away from the trip with new tunes that will score them their big break, they instead find themselves in the middle of a nightmare beyond comprehension. No UK release date is currently set but click below for the trailer.

New Ice Age: Continental Drift Teaser – Scrat’s Continental Crack-Up Part 2

18th November 2011 By Tim Isaac

Although I personally find Scrat from Ice Age one of the most annoying things in the world, I know a lot of people like him. Now a second Scrat short, made as a teaser for next year’s Ice Age: Continental Drift has shown up online. In the new Ice Age movie, Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.
