Iron Sky Trailer – Nazis are attacking from the moon!

9th February 2012 By Tim Isaac

A couple of years ago a trailer appeared online for a planned movie called Iron Sky, which was made in the hope it would ignite interest in getting the whole thing made. It must have worked, as the film is now incoming, and looks as insane but potentially entertaining as it did a couple of years ago. It’s directed by Finland’s Timo Vuorensola, best known for his Star Wreck parodies.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘In the last moments of World War II, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon. During 70 years of utter secrecy, the Nazis construct a gigantic space fortress with a massive armada of flying saucers.

‘When American astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby) puts down his Lunar Lander a bit too close to the secret Nazi base, the Moon Führer (Udo Kier) decides the glorious moment of retaking the Earth has arrived sooner than expected. Washington claims the mission is just a publicity stunt for the President of the United States (Stephanie Paul), but what else could the man be but a scout for the imminent attack by Earth forces? The Fourth Reich must act!

‘Two Nazi officers, ruthless Klaus Adler (Götz Otto) and idealistic Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), travel to Earth to prepare the invasion. In the end when the Moon Nazi UFO armada darkens the skies, ready to strike at the unprepared Earth, every man, woman and nation alike, must re-evaluate their priorities.’

8th February 2012 By Tim Isaac

Matt Damon may be gone, but the Bourne franchise lives on with Jeremy Renner taking over as a new agent who came out of the same program as Jason Bourne. Now the first trailer for the movie has arrived, and to be honest it doesn’t reveal a huge amount about the movie, except that Edward Norton’s going to try and brainwash Jeremy Renner, and that ‘Jason Bourne was just the tip of the iceberg’. It certainly looks explosive though! the film’s due out August 17th. Oh, and in case you hadn’t guessed, the new poster is above.

New Amazing Spider-man Trailer Arrives – Take a look at The Lizard

7th February 2012 By Tim Isaac

Director Marc Webb is keen to sell The Amazing Spider-man as ‘untold stories’ about the superhero rather than a remake of the Sam Raimi series, but the more we see, the more it looks like a very different beast to when Tobey Maguire was behind the mask. For a start it’s getting back to the wisecracking Peter Parker rather than the po-faced one of Raimi. Now a new trailer is letting us have our best look yet at the film, introducing us more to the story and action, as well as giving us our first look at the villainous Lizard. It certainly looks like it’s gonna be spectacular! The movie hits cinemas July 3rd.
