19th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

Snow White & the Hunstman certainly looks like it’s gonna be a stylish flick. Now a new trailer has arrived for the film, and not only that, but there’s also a five-minute extended look at the fairy tale turned all action fantasy epic. and it’s looking ace. Here’s the synopsis: ‘In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.’ The film’s out June 1st in the UK. Prometheus Trailer – ‘Big things have small beginnings…’

18th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

After an almost farcical amount of hype, the full trailer for Prometheus has arrived, and it’s epic! While Ridley Scott has been keen to say it’s not an Alien movie, the trailer makes it clear that this is a full-on prequel to the famed series, even if it doesn’t feature the creatures themselves. It also gives us a better hint at the plot, with clues in ancient Earth civilisations hinting at the existence of an alien species the spaceship Prometheus sets off to find, only to discover things are more dangerous than they expected. Take a look at the trailer below and prepare to be impressed! We’ve also includes a new viral below, about growing your own Michael Fassbender!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer – If only politicians were really like this

18th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

With its teaser trailer, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter turned from a movie that looked like it might be kinda fun to something far more exciting, and that continues with this new full trailer, which shows the famed American President (played by relative movie newcomer Benjamin Walker) kicking supernatural ass in Timur Bekmambetov’s movie. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter reimagines the American president as an axe-wielding, highly trained vampire hunter. Seth Grahame-Smith’s book, on which the movie will be based, gives new context to Lincoln’s rise to the presidency as well as the American Civil War (which was fought because the vampires were in league with the slave owners), suggesting these events were a lot more paranormal than history tells us, and stemmed from Lincoln’s mother’s murder by a vampire when he was a child. The film hits UK cinemas August 2nd.

Dark Shadows Trailer – Tim Burton & Johnny Depp back together again

16th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

It’s odd that it’s taken so long, but a trailer for Dark Shadows is finally here. Based on a 1960s supernatural US soap opera, the film reunites Tim Burton and Johnny Depp for a film that from this trailer looks like it’ll be deliberately silly but fun, and it seem like it’ll be the most Burton-looking movie we’ve seen in a while, with plenty of gothic flourishes. In the film, Johnny Depp plays Barnabas Collins, who was turned into a vampire by a witch in the 18th Century and then buried alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to old home, Collinwood Manor, to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jonny Lee Miller, Jackie Earle Haley, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath also star. The new poster is above and take a look at the trailer below. The film’s out May 11th.

15th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

While there are two Snow White movies due this year, Snow White & The Huntsman is the one that looks like it’s going to be the big one, with the visuals we’ve had so far being absolutely gorgeous. Now a preview of the new trailer has arrived (the full promo should be online soon), along with three short featurettes looking at The Queen (as played by Charlize Theron), Setting The Scene and the Costumes. The revisionist take on the classic story sees Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman who’s told to take Snow White to the woods and kill her, but who ends up teaching her how to survive. The featurettes are full of info and some great footage. The film certainly looks like it’s going to be gorgeous to look at when it arrives on June 1st.
