Jesus Henry Christ Trailer – Toni Collette and Michael Sheen have a super-smart kid

22nd March 2012 By Tim Isaac

Jesus Henry Christ seems like it would like to be The Kids At All Right, but a little more quirky and with fewer lesbian mothers! The film stars Toni Collette as the mother of a precociously smart 10-year-old who want to know who his father is, which sends him on a quest to discover more about the man who donated the sperm to make him. The film should be out later this year.

Cosmopolis Teaser Trailer – Robert Pattinson gets intense with David Cronenberg

22nd March 2012 By Tim Isaac

There were a lot of raised eyebrowd when David Cronenberg cast Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis, largely because it seemed such a jump from the world of Twilight. However as this trailer shows, the movie will show a different side to Pattinson and it’s likely to be intense! The film, based on Don DeLillo’s book, sees R-Patz as young billionaire Eric Packer, who starts out just wanting to get a haircut, but as the day progresses and he travel around New York, he must deal with the fallout from the decisions he’s made in his life. Cosmopolis should be out later this year.

Chernobyl Diaries Trailer – Take a look at the latest from Paranormal Activity’s Oren Peli

20th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

It’s odd that after the huge success of Paranormal Activity, we haven’t had another movie directed by Oren Peli. However he has been busy producing movies and he came up with the original story for Chernobyl Diaries, although Shane Van Dyke (grandson of Dick) wrote the script and Bradley Parker directs. The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone. No UK date is set, but it’s released in the US on May 25th.

Prometheus Trailer – Extended UK Version – Different footage from Ridley’s awesome looking movie

19th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

Over the weekend a superb new trailer for Prometheus debuted, and while it’s difficult not to feel Fox is slightly going for overkill on its marketing for the movie, they’ve also released a slightly extended UK version of the trailer featuring quite a lot of different footage. It all looks great, and if nothing else it proves that visually nobody does sci-fi like Ridley Scott. The film sees people heading off into the stars looking for the origins of mankind that have been hinted at in civilisations across the ages, but getting more than they bargained for. The sort-of Alien prequel is out June 1st.

19th March 2012 By Tim Isaac

A new viral vid for The Amazing Spider-man has shown up online, in the form of a Daily Bugle news report, where they interview Capt. George Stacey (Denis Leary) about whether Spidey is a vigilante menace or a hero.
