The first trailer and poster have arrived for Storage 24, which is bidding to be this year’s breakout Brit sci-fi flick. The film stars BAFTA award winner Noel Clarke (Kidulthood, 4.3.2.1) – who also wrote the movie – Antonia Campbell Hughes (Bright Star) Laura Haddock (The Inbetweeners Movie) and Colin O’Donoghue (The Rite), and is directed by Johannes Roberts (F, When Evil Calls). Here’s the synopsis: ‘London is in chaos. A military cargo plane has crashed leaving its highly classified contents strewn across the city. Completely unaware London is in lockdown, Charlie (Noel Clarke) and Shelley (Antonia Campbell-Hughes), accompanied by best friends Mark (Colin O’Donoghue) and Nikki (Laura Haddock), are at Storage 24 dividing up their possessions after a recent break-up. Suddenly, the power goes off. Trapped in a dark maze of endless corridors, a mystery predator is hunting them one by one. In a place designed to keep things in, how do you get out?’ The film hits cinemas June 29th.
Another New Avengers Clip Drops – Loki gets imprisoned
The clips that have been released from Avengers Assemble have certainly helped to up the anticipation for the movie – not that it needs it, as tracking is already suggesting a $150 million plus US opening weekend! The latest clip sees Loki imprisoned and in a battle of words with Nick Fury. Clcik to take a look. The film hits UK cinemas on April 26th.
New The Amazing Spider-man International Trailer – The reboot is looking all kinds of fun
Although early reports suggested Sony wanted a lower budget Spider-man with their Marc Webb directed reboot, the latest round of trailers certainly suggest it won’t be any less spectacular and also injects some of the humour of Spidey that was lacking from Sam Raimi’s film. In the film, Peter Parker finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner, who is also the villainous Lizard. The movie’s out July 4th.
Captain America & Thor Fight Together In New Avengers Clip – Poor old Steve Rogers gets it in the gut
Movie Muser went to see Avengers Assemble last night, but we’re not allowed to tell you too much about it yet (or members of SHIELD will come and beat us up), but suffice to say, we liked it! What we can do though is bring you a new clip, featuring Captain America and Thor fighting together, with the suggestion it’s not the easiest of alliances. The film’s out on April 27th, but make sure you check back before then for our review!
Looper Trailer – Joseph Gordon-Levitt needs to kill his future self!
I think it’s fair to say the quandary Joseph Gordon-Levitt faces in Looper is one few people have had to deal with – what if you job was to kill people sent to you from the future (so there’s no evidence of the crime), but you’re suddenly sent your own future self (Bruce Sillis) to murder? Hmm, toughy. That’s the basic set-up of Looper, which promises to be a truly intriguing pic, reteaming Gordon-Levitt with Brick helmer Rian Johnson. After a few days of teases, the trailer is finally here! The film’s due in cinemas on September 28th.
The Iron Lady: A Commons Debate – Young people gets to talk up the issues on the film’s set
The Iron Lady comes to DVD and Blu-ray on April 30th, and ahead of that we’ve been sent this neat little featurette, where young people were invited to the film’s House Of Commons set for a bit of a debate. The outspoken young politicians from the UK Youth Parliament and British Youth Council took the battle of the sexes to the benches, as they debated the role of women in Parliament in the House of Commons set at Wimbledon Studios.
