Arnie is planning to come back with a vengeance, with all sorts of projects in the works. The Expendables 2 has just hit cinemas, but his real return as a leading man will come with The Last Stand when it’s released January 2013. After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy. With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow. It’s nice in the trailer that Arnie acknowledges he’s getting older, while still piling on the action.
Bullet To The Head Trailer – Sly Stallone turns hitman
With The Expendables 2 out today, it’s a good time to release trailers for the stars’ upcoming movie. We’ve just had one for Arnie’s The Last Stand and now we’ve got Sylvester Stallone Bullet To The Head. Based on a graphic novel, Bullet to the Head tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a New York City cop (Sung Kang) who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. Walter Hill directs, suggesting this may be one to look out for.

For Ellen Trailer – Paul Dano & Jon Heder head for an indie drama
Paul Dano is more interested in making interesting movies than chasing stardom, and that certainly seem true of the indie For Ellen. In the movie he stars as, ‘Aspiring rock star Joby Taylor, who has wanted nothing more than to “make it, having flirted with fame but never crossed over into true success. In the midst of a low period in his life, he agrees to sign divorce papers with his estranged wife (Margarita Levieva) in order to see money from the sale of their home, only to discover that by signing the papers, he will forfeit all custody of his six-year-old daughter, Ellen (newcomer Shaylena Mandigo). With a good-natured lawyer (Jon Heder) unable to make headway in reversing the decision, and a girlfriend (Jena Malone) that represents an era of his life that he might be ready to graduate from, Joby negotiates a visit with his daughter to explore whether he is able to walk away from his child, and whether it might be too late for reconciliation.’ It hits US cinemas in early September, but no UK release is yet set.
The Letter Trailer – Winona Ryder has hallucinations involving James Franco
Winona Ryder must have enjoyed being involved in the weirdness of Black Swan, as it seems she wants to make her own version, although with less of a budget, and James Franco making one of his lightly random appearances. Winona stars as a playwright, who begins to mentally unravel before premiere night. She is plagued by dreams and visions of being watched, but cannot decide if she is at the centre of a manipulative plot or simply losing her grip on reality.
