Song For Marion Trailer Hits – Terence Stamp gets grumpy with Gemma Arterton

7th September 2012 By Tim Isaac

Ahead of its debut as the London Film Festival, the trailer for Song For Marion has arrived. The film is a London-set comedic drama about grumpy pensioner Arthur (Terence Stamp) who is reluctantly inspired by his beloved wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave) to join a highly unconventional local choir. At odds with his son James (Christopher Eccleston), it is left to choir director Elizabeth (Gemma Arterton) to try and persuade Arthur that he can learn to embrace life. Arthur must confront the undercurrents of his own grumbling persona as he embarks on a hilarious, life-affirming journey of musical self discovery. It may not be the most exciting sounding premise, but the cast is great and the trailer certainly make it seem worth a look.

New Cloud Atlas Trailer Lands – Fresh look at the Wachowskis and Tom Twyker’s ambitious movie

6th September 2012 By Tim Isaac

It’s still difficult to know if Cloud Atlas is going to fulfil its towering ambition, but the more we see the more of a must-see it’s becoming. A few weeks ago a six-minute trailer introduced us to the movie’s six interconnected stories, featuring the same actors playing different characters in various time periods. Now a new, more traditional trailer has shown up, which trades on the visuals and scope of the movie and makes it look pretty impressive. The movie, based on David Mitchell’s novel spans hundreds of years, showing how individual lives affect others in the past, present, and future through a series of stories. The actors, including Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Ben Whishaw, Jim Broadbent and Tom Hanks play different people in each story, jumping between different races and genders. It’s currently set for UK release of March 22nd, 2013.
