Lately Arcel was nominated for the most prestigious film prize in Scandinavia, The Nordic Film Council Prize, for his dramacomedy Truth About Men (2010). Arcel also wrote the screenplay for Stieg Larsson’s The Girls With The Dragon Tattoo – an accomplishment for which he earned a BAFTA nomination (2011). A Royal Affair meanwhile found great success at the Berlin Film Festival, with Best Actor going to Mads Mikkelsen and Best Screenplay being shared by Arcel and Rasmus Heisterberg.
