For a few years annual instalments of the Saw franchise seemed like a licence to print money. However, after Paranormal Activity overtook its Halloween cinema crown, the franchise seemed to have come to an end (with a bit of a whimper) with 2010’s Saw 3D: The Final Chapter.
However, now it’s returning with Jigsaw, with promises that it will the, ‘the Jigsaw killer’s signature brand of twisted scenarios to the next level.’ Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, Hannah Emily Anderson, Laura Vandervoort, Mandela Van Peebles, Paul Braunstein, Brittany Allen, and Josiah Black, with Tobin Bell also returning as the title character.
The first trailer has now arrived, which you can watch below. Jigsaw will be in cinemas on October 27th.
