Summit has been working on The Secret Life Of Houdini since 2009, and in that time the likes of Jeff Nathanson, Gary Ross and Joe Wright have been attached to direct. However they’ve both moved on and the latest taking up the directing reins, according to Deadline, is Dead Parisot (Red).
The project is based on a book written by William Kalush and Larry Sloman, with a script by Noah Oppenheim, which claims that world-famous magician Harry Houdini also led a double life as a British spy. The book also goes deep into his world of magic and mystery, as well as how his legacy later threatened by a group of fanatical Spiritualists led by esteemed British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Although it’s not got another director, there’s still no news on when it might shoot.
