Since the late 80s, Jane Fonda has only made sporadic on-screen appearances, but she’s now planing a relatively rare movie appearance, as Deadline reports that she’s in talks to join Jason Bateman,Tina Fey and Corey Stoll in This Is Where I Leave You.
The film is an adaptation of the Jonathan Tropper comic novel about four siblings who come home to sit shiva for their deceased father. They are trapped in the house for seven days, and all their skeletons are laid bare. Fonda is in talks to play Fey, Stoll and Bateman’s mother, the recently widowed Hillary Foxman.
Shawn Levy – who directed Fey in Date Night – is set to direct the movie, based on Tropper’s own screenplay adaptation of his book.
