On The Road is released on Blu-ray and DVD from 25 February, 2013 courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment, and we’ve teamed up with them to give three of you the chance to win a copy on Blu-ray.
Based on Jack Kerouac’s classic book, On The Road tells the story of aspiring young New York writer Sal Paradise (Sam Riley, Control, Brighton Rock) as he meets and begins an intense friendship with seductive ex-con Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund, Tron, Death Sentence). Determined not to get trapped in a narrow mundane life, the two friends hit the road alongside Moriartys jail bait wife Marylou (Kristen Stewart, Twilight, Snow White and The Huntsman). Thirsting for freedom and set to a backdrop of drugs, sex, jazz and hedonistic 1940s America, the friends soon discover the world, others and themselves in a life defining trip.
Directed by Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries), this quintessential road movie features an all-star cast, that includes Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman, Melancholia) as the ever suffering Camille, Amy Adams (The Master, The Fighter), Tom Sturridge (The Boat That Rocked, Waiting for Forever), Viggo Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings, The Road) and Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs).
