Jim Carrey has recently been shooting a cameo as Colonel Stars in Kick-Ass 2, which he’s hoping will give his career a bit of a boost. Now he’s mulling starring in a film called Loomis Fargo, about one of the biggest heists in US history, according to TheWrap.
The story follows four men in the American south who managed to get $17 million out of an armed Loomis Fargo truck. It isn’t known exactly who Carrey would play, but the main players are a “former company employee, David Scott Ghantt, who struck up a relationship with a fellow employee, Kelly Campbell, who then introduced Ghantt to an old school friend, Steve Chambers, who helped pull off the robbery.”
Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Hess will direct, with production planned to begin early next year in North Carolina, as a long as a few final financing issues are sorted.
