Centering around a penguin who thinks he’s a tiger taking on an army of walruses, I expected this movie to be a little bizarre. However I didn’t expect it to be a complete disaster on all fronts.
It’s a comedy film that doesn’t even contain one good joke; featuring some of the most annoying characters ever created (I would seriously like to know who came up with the warthog that acts like Elvis). John Lithgow just sounds like he’s phoning it in not that I can blame him and the rest of the unknown cast do little to improve the acting. It’s a cartoon with ridiculously poor and outdated CGI; it kind of reminds me of something you’d see in a N64 game to be honest.
The story meanwhile feels dragged out, even with the movie clocking in at 55 minutes; after about the hundredth walking around scene you seriously just start to zone out. By the time it reaches the incredibly predictable conclusion you’ll be relieved; assuming you haven’t switched it off due to total boredom, which I nearly did. No wonder I’d never heard of this film despite it being made fairly recently.
Extras include more adventures from the Jungle Bunch, which should be avoided at all costs.
Overall Verdict: A terribly unfunny and poorly animated comedy; if you value your life, never watch it!
Special Features:
6 mini movies from the jungle
