The cast of Universal Pictures’ Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall keeps growing, with new additions such as John Leguizamo and Donald Faison recently signing on. And no, actors Morris Chestnut and Robert Emms have inked deals to join the cast, according to Deadline.
Morris Chestnut will play the guardian of Chloe Moretz’s Hit Girl. Robert Emms is playing Insect Man, a costumed hero who claims to be a police officer, although he goes far above and beyond his duty while donning the mask.
Aaron Johnson returns as the title character, with Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Chris D’Amico/Red Mist), Yancy Butler (Angie D’Amico) and Nicolas Cage (Damon Macready/Big Daddy) reprising their roles from the original. Jeff Wadlow is directing from his own screenplay, adapted from Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s comic book series. Production is scheduled to begin next month in Toronto.
