Zombies get a bad rap in the movies as shambling, half-rotten, brainless things with an insatiable lust for human flesh, but what’s it like to be a zombie? What do they think about their predicament? That’s what Warm Bodies is going to address, which Variety reports has just added Rob Cordrry (Hot Tub Time Machine) to its cast.
Warm Bodies follows an existentially-tormented zombie who falls for the girlfriend of one of his victims and decides to protect her from his brain-eating brethren as he begins to reconnect with his dormant humanity. Nicholas Hoult plays R, a main zombie who is different from the other zombies, while Rob Corddry will takes on M, another zombie outcast. Teresa Palmer has alreay signed on to be the girl R falls for.
Jonathan Levine (The Wackness) is writing and directing the undead romance, which is based on a novel by Isaac Marion. Shooting begins next month.
