Nicole Kidman missed out on being under attack in her own home in Panic Room, when she broke a bone and had to be replaced by Jodie Foster before shooting began. Now she’s making up for it with Trespass, which stars Kidman and Nic Cage as a married couple whose home is invaded by a bunch of balaclava wearing bad guys, led by Cam Gigandet. They want what’s in a rather snazzy looking safe, but Cage isn’t keen to give it. After a few years in the wilderness, Joel Schumacher (Phone Booth, 8mm) is back in the mainstream fold to direct, although whether it will end his run of mediocrity is yet to be seen (several reports suggest it won’t, as the movie is said to have tested poorly and needed reshoots to tweak numerous issues). Take a look below for the trailer. There’s no UK release set at the moment, but it reaches American shores on October 20th.
