It’s not easy to sell a movie on the fact it’s all about people dying from a theoretically realistic disease that spreads around the globe (especially as there aren’t many explosions in this one), but it certainly helps if it’s got a starry cast. Steven Soderbergh’s has used his exceptional talent for getting big names together for Contagion, and now six character posters for the movie have arrived via Yahoo!, to show off that fact.
Above and below you can see posters featuring Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne and Gwyneth Paltrow (who looks oddly like Tilda Swinton in hers). The movie looks like a rather terrifying view into what a worldwide pandemic in the modern world might look like. While we’ve got rather blase about pandemic scares such as bird flu and swine flu, in 1918 Spanish flu killed as many people as the entire First World War did, so it’s not unfeasible.
