The pics above and below are some of the first from Cameron Crowe’s upcoming flick, We Bought A Zoo, which stars Matt Damon and Scarlet Johansson. Rather sadly for us Brits, while the film is based on the true story of a family who bought the delapidated Dartmoor Wildlife Park in Devon despite having no experience with wild animals, the movie is taking things Stateside to the Rosemoor Animal Park somewhere in the US.
In real life Ben Mee strived to turn the zoo around, only to be struck by tragedy when his wife’s brain tumour, which had been in remission, re-emerged. However it sounds like in the movie version, Mrs. Mee will have already died, and it’ll be that which causes Mee to take on the the zoo with his young children. The movie will be in cinemas later this year, but take a look at the pics, which debuted at USA Today, to give you a taste. And head over to US Today to read Crowe and Damon’s talking about the movie.
And if We Bought A Zoo Wasn’t enough, take a look down to the bottom of this post for a new poster for Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.
This new poster for Drive has arrived via IMPA, although we’re not the first to see it, as it was handed out to attendees at Comic-Con. It’s a slightly odd image for what is a rather gritty thriller, as it makes it look rather romantic and nostagic. Either way, it won Best Director for Nicholas Winding Refn at Cannes and will arrive in UK cinemas on September 23rd. The movie follows a Hollywood stunt performer (Ryan Gosling) who moonlights as a wheelman, who discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong. It also stars Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, Oscar Isaac and Albert Brooks.
