It’s only a few weeks until Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes hits cinemas on August 11th, and now two clips have arrived from the movie, one an extended, three-minute look at one of the pivotal moments, and the other a smaller but rather charming moment. Sadly the quality of the clips isn’t amazing, so we can’t get a better look at the CG ape effects, but they’d well worth watching anyway. The longer one in particularly shows us a crucial moment in the movie. While working on a cure for dementia (which his father, played by John Lithgow, suffers from), James Franco’s scientist, Will Rodman, engages in genetic experiments that result in apes that are far more intelligent than usual. At first he raises chimp Caesar as one of the family, but as the extended clip below shows, that causes problems, and soon events race forward towards a war between man and super-smart ape!
