As always with James Bond, the producers aren’t saying much officially. Indeed the only proper info we’ve had so far on the 23rd official Bond flick is a release date – October 26th, 2012 – and that Sam Mendes will direct and Daniel Craig is back in the lead role.
Other casting news has surfaced, such as Naomie Harris (who’s it’s said will be Miss Moneypenny), Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes, but as the film currently has no title and there’s been absolutely plot info, it’s impossible to say how anyone will figure into the plot.
Now we’ve got another name to add to the list of people who will probably be in the movie somehow, as the Telegraph reports that Rhys Ifans has been cast in the movie. This info hasn’t been confirmed and there’s no character details, so take this one as likely rumour for now.
The movie will apparently be shot largely in South Africa (although presumably interiors will, as always, be filmed in the UK).
Ifans does have some history with Daniel Craig, as he spent some time terrorising him in the movie Enduring Love. That partnership worked extemely well, so it’ll be good to see them back together on screen.
