On Friday we posted the first image of dwarves Ori, Nori, and Dori from The Hobbit. However they are only some of the band of dwarves that go with hobbit Bilbo across Middle Earth to find the dragon Smaug. Now Yahoo! Movies has revealed two more of them, Oin (John Callen) and Gloin (Peter Hambleton), the latter of whom is the father of Lord Of The Ring’s Gimli.
You can see those above, while below is the description of the characters, and underneath that, Peter Jackson’s second video diary, which sees him and Andy Serkis looking back at ‘Block 1’ of filming, before they take a break 54 days into the 254 days shoot.
Oin And Glion description: Distant cousins of Thorin Oakenshield, these two doughty Northern Dwarves join the Company out of a sense of loyalty to their kin, and also because they have a substantial sum of money invested in the venture. Along with Bombur, Gloin is the only other married Dwarf in the Company (there being a shortage of female dwarves in general). His wife is an acclaimed beauty with a particularly fine beard. Gloin is the proud father of a young son, Gimli, who will go on to become part of the famous Fellowship of the Ring.
