Over the weekend, some very dodgy bootleg versions, recorded in cinemas, of the Red Band teaser trailer for The Girl With Dragon Tattoo turned up online, but now a nice pristine UK version has shown up. It’s essentially the same as the Red Band one, but with a couple of shots of boobs and blood removed and a couple tweaks to make it fits the UK release. Oh and you can see the officieal UK teaser poster above too. Interestingly, it’s very similar to Momentum’s first trailer for the Swedish version of Stieg Larsson’s book, but as that was pretty cool, it works here. Indeed that trailer gave off a bit of a Fight Club vibe, so it’s apt it’s being used for David Fincher’s take. The movie revolves around a mystery concerning the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress. A journalist (Daniel Craig) recently threatened with imprisoned due to a libel case and a young female hacker (Rooney Mara) try to resolve it, stirring up bundles of personal and industrial corruption along the way involving the powerful but slightly strange Vanger family. The movie is currently due out on Boxing Day, and looks like it’s one to watch out for.
