While Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg were already on board for the lead role in Celeste and Jesse Forever, they’ve now got some company as Variety reports that Emma Roberts, Chris Messina, and Ari Graynor have joined the cast of the romantic comedy.
The film is about a young, recently-divorced couple (Jones and Samberg) who decide to stay living together as they try to maintain their friendship while seeing other people. Roberts will portray a young starlet who hires Jones’ Celeste to try and overhaul her image. Chris Messina will be a friend of Celeste who tries to help her get over Jesse, and Ari Graynor is portraying Celeste’s best friend, who doesn’t like her current living arrangement.
Hmm, doesn’t Jesse get any friends, as everyone here is just for Celeste? Perhaps they’ll be announced in due course.
Lee Toland Krieger is directing Celeste and Jesse Forever from a script by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.
