With Jeremy Renner already signed on for about 60% of the films coming out in the next two years, you wouldn’t think he’d have time for another, but THR reports that he and J-Lo have signed up to voice characters in the next Ice Age movie, subtitled Continental Drift.
Wanda Sykes, Keke Palmer, and Drake and Aziz Ansar will also be newcomers to the franchise, while Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck are all signed up to return.
The cast was officially revealed Tuesday during a meeting on the Fox lot with potential promotional partners, licensees and retail partners for the film. Not too much was said about the new characters, although Renner will be Gutt, a self-styled master of the high seas, and Lopez will play Shira, a sabre toothed tiger who melts the heart of Diego (Leary).
The movie is scheduled to open July 13, 2012.
