The official logo for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon has been released over on the movie’s official website, and as you can see above, it’s not exactly a major departure from the logos for the previous movies, except we can see the lunar surface reflected off the title. But then, it’s not like anyone is expecting the film itself to be a major departure from the robot explosions we’ve seen before.
In case you missed it, here are the first plot details that emerged a few days ago, and give us a hint at why the moon is suddenly so important to autobots and decepticon: ‘The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.’
The film arrives July 1st, 2011.
