Pixie Lott is making her movie debut with the comedy Fred: The Movie, which hits UK cinemas on December 17th. In what must be a bit of a first, the film takes a character created for Youtube – Lucas Cruikshank’s overexcited Fred (which was the first Youtube channel to have over a million subscribers) – and gives it the big screen treatment, taking Brit pop star Lott along for the ride. Fred (Cruikshank) is in love with the girl next door, Judy (Lott), But his nemesis neighbour, Kevin, thwarts all attempts Fred makes to see her, and when he finally succeeds in making it over to Judys house shes moved! With the advice of his super cool dad (WWE’s John Cena), Fred embarks on an epic journey to find her. While Fred really is a love him or loath him character, and whether he can stand up to going from homemade Internet shorts to feature film is still up in the air, click below to take a look at the trailer.
