A couple of days ago it was revealed that Lost’s Maggie Grace had signed up to play Irina in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, a key member of the Denali Clan, the only group of vampires, other than the Cullens, who refuse to dine of human blood.
However if you’re going to have a clan, you need more than one person, and now THR is reporting that the rest of the troupe has been cast. MyAnna Buring (who previously had ber own vampire coven in Lesbian Vampire Killers), Mia Maestro and Casey LaBow are the female members, while Christian Camargo is the patriarch.
Buring is playing Tanya, a rival to Kristen Stewarts Bella for the attention of Edward, while LaBow is Kate, who can spontaneously produce electricity. Camargo and Maestro are Eleazar and Carmen, the two Spanish heads of the clan.
The Denali become increasingly important in Breaking Dawn, as dark forces move in on Edward, Bella and their newborn half-vampire child, and the Cullens need all the help they can get to fight off the threat. The two-part adaptation will start shooting in November, with Breaking Dawn Part I in cinemas Nov. 18, 2011, with the second coming almost exactly a year later.
