With her movie career taking off like a rocket, it’s difficult to imagine Olivia Wilde sticking around TV’s House much longer. With Tron Legacy coming this December, and Cowboys And Aliens out next summer, by the time the next season of the medical show ends, she should be a major film star.
Now she’s got another big movie lined up, which should hit theatres in 2011, The Change-Up, which was announces last March with Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds attached for the lead roles. Not much has been heard since then, but now Deadline reports Wilde is joining the duo in the David Dobkin directed body swap comedy.
The Change-Up centres around Bateman’s stable, married, family man and his slacker best friend (Reynolds), who end up switching bodies, presumably to comedic effect then it turns their lives upside-down. Wilde will play the law firm co-worker of the married man, who acts as an impetus for the body switch.
The movie, written by Hangover scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore is set to shoot this autumn, suggesting Wilde will need some time off from House to film her role.
