You’d have thought that after South Park lampooned him so effectively with ‘Fighting Around The World With Russell Crowe’, the actor might avoid anything overtly involving fisticuffs, but a new report suggests he’s signed up for The Man With The Iron Fist.
Perhaps more strangely, not only is Crowe onboard, but it’s due to be the directorial debut of Wu Tang Clan’s RZA, and it’ll be produced by Eli Roth (who also co-wrote the film with RZA) and Quentin Tarantino, which is certainly a group few would have expected to work together – although Corwe and RZA did start alongside one another in American Gangster.
RZA told E! Online that, “I won’t spoil it for you, but Russell’s gonna be the baddest man alive. That man is in fighting shape. That man will knock you out.”
Not much else is known about the plot, other than it’s a martial arts flick, which has been in the works since 2008. Shooting is due to start in December.
