Despite the fact no one’s really been screaming out for one, as they don’t cost a lot to make and make a profit, Robert Rodiriguez is ploughing ahead with Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World. Last week it was announced that Jessica Alba had joined the cast, playing a reactivated spy who’s also the mother of the new Spy Kids, and now she’s got some company, with Variety reporting that Community star Joel McHale has signed up.
Unfortunately there’s no news on what role he’ll play, but it’s presumed he’ll have a major part in the movie. The film, which will start shooting next month, is both a continution and a reboot, with original Spy Kids Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara both expected to turn up at least for a cameo, but with the main action passing onto some new youngsters. It’s also expected that Antonio Banderas will be back.
