In the last 24 hours, a couple of interesting first looks have shown up online, giving us a peak at Captain America as he’ll appear in the upcoming movie, as well as Mad Men star January Jones in costume as telepathic mutant Emma Frost in X-Men: FIrst Class.
You can see a few of the Captain America shots above and below (head over to The Superficial for more), and as you may notice that’s not Chris Evans, it’s his stunt double. Nevertheless, it’s our first proper look at the costume, which is more baggy and wrinkled that we’re used to from superheroes, reflecting the lack of space-age fabrics in the film’s 1940s setting.
Take a look at a couple more Captain America shots below, then scroll down for the X-Men: First Class ones.
X-Men: First Class has just started shooting and the first set photos to show up reveal January Jones as Emma Frost. While we were told to expect a more comic book look from the film, I’m not sure anyone expected costumes that look like they’ve been borrowed from The Avengers TV series. Interestingly, the pics show Jones in a seemingly WWII setting, suggesting she may be inside Professor X or Magneto’s memories at this point in the story.
