Collider has posted the first photos from the Devon set of Spielberg’s upcoming movie War Horse. The movie is currently shooting on Dartmoor (near the village of Meavey), and it’s nice to know that the bearded directors has actually decided to film in the county where Michael Morpurgo’s book opens, rather than heading off elsewhere.
War Horse in the dramatic tale of a boy, Albert (Jeremy Irvine), and his horse, Joey, who are separated when the animal is sold off to go to war in 1914. However their fates are intertwined and while the horse faces increasing horrors, seeing the front line from both the British and German sides, he is eventually reunited with his former owner, who by that point is old enough to have joined the war effort himself. Take a look belwo for a few the set images, or head over to Collider for more.
