Channing Tatum’s career seems to be on the up and up, so much so that he’s decided to start producing films as well as starring in them. One of the ones he’s planning is based on Craig Clevenger novel The Contortionist’s Handbook, which Deadline reports that Channing has signed up to act in and produce.
Tatum will play a chameleon-esque forger who slips into new identities constantly to avoid being caught by the authorities, as well as to forget his troubled past. His strict code of conduct gets upended when he falls for a beautiful and mysterious woman with her own shady past.
While Deadline doesn’t mentioned a director, Miguel Sapochik (Repo Men), has previously been attached to the film, although it’s not clear whether he’s still involved. The independently financed movie will go into production early next year.
