Here’s news to cheer the heart of every film fan born in the late 70s or early 80s – Universal has announced (via Empire) that they’re bringing Back To The Future back to cinemas on October 1st, just before the entire trilogy bets a Blu-ray release on October 25th.
Anyone who’s watched Movie Muser closely will know that I’m slightly obsessed with Back To the Future (you can read more about that here), and so it’s fab new for me that I might actually be able to see the adventures of Marty McFly in the way they were originally intended. It is a truly wonderful time-travelling movies, which helped spark an interest in film in an entire generation of kids, who’ll now be able revisit it in all its shiny glory.
It’s also being promised that the Blu-ray box set will include over two hours of brand new features, including a retrospective documentary with all involved, a discussion about the film’s physics and a storyboard alternate ending sequence. It’s all a bit too exciting! And just to get finish us off, you can watch a trailer for the re-release below.
