At the end of last week it was announced that Henry Cavill was taking the lead role in the thriller The Cold Light Of Day, with Mabrouk El Mechri (JCVD) directing. Now The Tudors star has some illustrious company, as Deadline reports both Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver are in talks to join the film.
The movie sees Cavill as Will, a cocky young Wall Street trader who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his loved ones are kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel his father’s darkest secret in order to save his loved ones. Willis is in talks to play the father, while Weaver would be the villain. Weaver’s part was apparently originally written for a man, but they’ve gone for a bit of gender-bending and will put her into the role.
The Cold Light Of Day script is currently getting its final revisions, with plans to start shooting in Spain in September.
