You’d have thought by now there wasn’t a graphic novel left that wasn’t in development for a movie somewhere is Hollywood, but according to THR, Mad Chance and Circle of Confusion have managed to find one called Lore, and now they’ve bought the rights and are hoping to get a film made out of it.
Created by Aussies Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise (who sold another on of their books, World War Robot, to Jerry Bruckheimer last year), Lore is described as being similar to Men In Black, but about mythological creatures rather than aliens. A young man reluctantly become a member of an elite secret order, whose job is to protect humanity from the beast of folklore that threaten to invade our world.
Cory Goodman (Priest) and relative newcomes Jeremy Lott are on scripting duties, although at the moment it doesn’t look like there’s any studio involvement.
