It’s easy to understand why an actor like Zach Galifianakis would jump on every cool sounding project following his breakout with The Hangover, but if he keeps signing up for films at this rate, we’ll all end up with severe Zach fatigue. He’s already appeared in two films since The Hanover, has three more coming out before the end of the year, as well as another half a dozen he’s attached to, including The Hangover 2.
Now he’s got another one, with Deadline reporting that Dreamworks, Paramount and Spyglass Entertainment have snapped up a pitch called Reply All, which Galifianakis is attached to star in and produce. Phil Johnston (Cedar Rapids) will write the comedy, about a guy who accidentally sends an indiscreet e-mail to all the people he didn’t really want to receive it, and then has to deal with the repurcussions.
It’s a pretty basic premise, but if handled well it could make quite a fun film, as long, of course, as we haven’t all gotten sick of seeing too much of Galifianakis by the time it’s made.
